Here's how to access most of the "extra features" in this savegame file.

First, if you bring up the menu with the triangle button, here's what the commands translate to:

Item	Brave
Equip	Change
Status	Special

The bulk of the commands that may be of interest to you are under "Special." The commands in this submenu
translate as follows:

Settings
Books
Crafts
Birdcage
Vine
Substitute

"Settings" is where you'd go to change the various game settings, obviously.

"Books" contains my accessory catalogue and monster catalogue, and isn't very useful to you unless you can
read Japanese.

"Crafts" can be used to create (first option) or dismantle (second option) accessories, to or from their
individual parts.

"Birdcage" is where the birds I've captured are stored. There are 10 total, all of the rare black variety,
and none of which have any stat below 10. I named my birds as follows:

Killyou*
Stanza/
Tanzania
Zimbabwe
Europe
Bruiser
Healthy
Sheep
Daemon
Booya!

Yeah, I know, I'm a little weird. (: If you select a bird with the O button, you can choose to
rename it (first option) or set it free so you can capture a new one to replace it (second option).

I doubt you'll be able to top my birds, though. (:

*** The "Vine" command, under "Special," is used on the overworld map to summon your dragon friend Vine.
*** This is very important, as Vine allows you to fly freely across the world map, and is the ONLY means
*** through which escape from the island containing the final dungeon is possible.

And finally, the "Substitute" command (which was earned by completing the game) allows you to change your
roster of six active characters to any combination of PSP-originals or characters from the Brave Story
movie. Once you've selected "Substitute," you'll find that Tatsuya (the main character) is automatically
highlighted. You can then move across the list, and highlight 5 more characters of your choosing. The
characters on this list are as follows (using the spellings from the game's intro):

Tatsuya (PSP-original hero, automatically selected)
Juno (PSP-original cat-girl)
Sogles (PSP-original lizard-man)
Miredy (PSP-original bounty huntress)
Raynaut (PSP-original goat-man knight)
Ropple (PSP-original childlike sorcerer)
Wataru (movie hero)
Mitsuru (movie sorcerer)
Meena (movie cat-girl)
Kee-Keema (movie lizard-man)
Katz (movie bounty huntress)

Once you've selected your characters, you can choose which 3 to put in your active party via the "Change"
command on the main menu.

And a final note that may just be of some use to you: Tatsuya comes equipped with two very handy braves
(spells) that can be used in any dungeon to help you explore with ease. The first, costing only 1 BP, is
"Escape," which will automatically port you out of whatever dungeon you're in. And the second is "Stealth,"
which temporarily stealths your party, eliminating random battles entirely for a period of about 5 minutes.
You'll know Stealth wore off when you get a random text box popping up.

Both of these abilities, as well as heal abilities for all 6 active characters, can be accessed via the
"Brave" command on the main menu.

I hope I've helped you enjoy what may be the finest game yet released for the PlayStation Portable!
